Terms & conditions
Last updated October 5, 2026These are the terms for using this website and contacting us through it. They're written in plain English, because fine print isn't how we do things.
1. Who we are & what these terms cover
This website is operated by the Wilson Veterans Program, based in Norwalk, California. The program is run by Mickey Wilson and carried out through his companies, which are listed at the bottom of this page.
These terms cover your use of this website and the ways you reach us through it: the call and text links. By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the site. You can still just call.
2. What the program is
The Wilson Veterans Program provides home help to military veterans at no charge. It is paid for privately, out of our own pocket.
It is not a government program. It has no affiliation with, and is not endorsed by, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. It is not a benefit you are entitled to, and it does not affect any benefits you receive elsewhere.
3. Who it's for
The program is for people who served in the U.S. military. Tell us you're a veteran when you call. We may ask a little about your service so the help keeps going to the people it's meant for.
4. What we can take on
The services listed on this site are examples of the work we do. They are not a promise that every request can be done. What we can take on depends on the job, our schedule, and where you are. We're based in Norwalk and work across Southern California, and jobs farther out may take longer to get to or may be more than we can cover.
If we take your job, there's no bill. If something is beyond what the program can do, we'll tell you before any work starts, not after. We may decline a request, and we may change or end the program at any time.
5. The website is information, not a diagnosis
Everything on this site is general information. It isn't an assessment of your home, and it isn't a substitute for someone looking at the job in person. What actually gets done is agreed with you directly, on the phone or at your door.
6. Emergencies & crisis: read this one
If you smell gas: leave the building first, then call your gas company or 911 from outside. Don't flip switches or light anything.
If someone is in danger: call 911.
If you are in crisis or thinking about suicide: call 988 and press 1, or text 838255, to reach the Veterans Crisis Line. It's free, confidential, and open 24 hours a day.
We mean it when we say you can call just to talk. But we are tradespeople, not counselors, doctors, or a crisis service, and our phone is not staffed around the clock. A conversation with us is not professional advice or treatment.
7. Calling or texting us
Calling or texting is how you reach us. By texting, you're okay with us replying by text about your request. Standard carrier rates apply, and you can tell us to stop at any time.
Please don't use the number for sales pitches or spam. How we handle your number and job details is covered in our privacy policy.
8. Work at your home
When we schedule work, you agree to give us reasonable access to the areas involved and to keep pets secured during the visit. You confirm that you have the right to approve work on the property. If you rent, check with your landlord first.
If a job turns up something nobody could see from the outside, we'll stop, show you what we found, and talk it through with you before going further.
9. Licensed work & permits
Trade work is done through our companies. Where a job needs a permit, we'll tell you before work starts, and the work follows the permit process.
10. Charities, resources & events
We list other organizations that help veterans because we think they're worth knowing about. A listing is not an endorsement or a guarantee, and we're not responsible for their services. We decide which organizations are listed and may add or remove any of them.
Offers to volunteer at veterans events depend on our schedule and on what the event needs. We'll tell you plainly whether we can make it.
11. Our content
The text, logo, and design of this site belong to the Wilson Veterans Program. You're welcome to share links to it. Please don't copy the name or logo to represent another program or business.
12. Links to other sites
This site links to other websites, including our companies, charities, and public resources. Those sites have their own terms and privacy policies, and we're not responsible for what happens there.
13. Limitation of liability
We work to keep this website accurate and available, but it's provided "as is," without warranties of any kind about the website itself. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we're not liable for damages arising from your use of the website or reliance on its general content.
To be clear, this section is about the website. Any work at your home is covered by what we agree with you for that job.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute relating to the website will be handled in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.
15. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the updated version is posted on this page with a new date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the current version.
16. If part of this is unenforceable
If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
